Re: Daily thread - Wednesday

Alex: I didn't realize Hayley had problems either; sorry to hear it but sounds as if your school's doing a good job working with you! Yola: couldn't help but laugh at the au pair's problems with idiomatic English! I wonder sometimes how foreigners ever manage to learn! Sorry Domi's not well, hope he perks up soon! What time is the stir fry: sounds yummy!. I am green with envy at the lovely weather most of you seem to be having...it's snowing yet again, temp is -4C...I didn't go out on errands this morning, just shoveled the walk and retrieved the papers. Will venture out to feed Onyx at lunch; hope she comes. I hate being stuck indoors and am so tired of Winter hanging on...think Spring!

Re: Daily thread - Wednesday

Alex - you seem to have a wonderful support network there for Hayley - I've heard some horror stories in the local press here about schools both labelling kids incorrectly or conversley not giving them the support they obviously need.

It must be so difficult for you, as a parent to try and weave your way through the maze of information as well as having to deal with the practicalities of Hayley's (potential) condition. It is something I'm beginning to be a little worried about with Dominik's eratic behaviour - and some of the characteristics you describe he manifests very clearly . . .

Eileen - dinner will be at about 7.30pm UK time. Do you fancy coming over ?

Actually Ken will be doing dinner tonight as he's picked Dominik up and I will be in the office until 5.30 instead. So you'll have me here replying furiously to every thread for the next 45 minutes

When they invent a matter transporter that doesn't involve your body parts getting mingled with a fly, then I'd be delighted to come for dinner! Will make do with my pizza and salad tonight!
