Re: Leia - after dinner nap

I suspect it was her eating too much dry food snacks, which she loves. Now I save some gravy from one of Onyx's pouches and pour it over the dry crunchies, and it seems to be working so far....Now Onyx being stressed I could understand! Leia hates the prescription food, so I've been using up the case (24 tins!) by giving about one or two a week to Onyx...figure it won't hurt her and she seems to like it.

I would think Onyx was only too grateful for the food whatever kind it was.....

Re: Leia - after dinner nap

I must tell you: Onyx is a streetwise little survivor! The night of the eclipse I went out front to see if it was visible (no...) and met a lady from the next block up who asked if that was my black cat. I said, well, sort of, and explained; the lady said that Onyx hangs out sometimes on her front porch and that she occasionally shares some of her indoor cat's food with Onyx! She added that the cat is incredibly wary, and that she cannot get near her....I replied in what I sincerely hope wasn't a smug tone, that Onyx lets me pet her once in a while and that she took food from my hand ...the lady was dumbfounded! So, I'll not worry quite so much on the (rare) days that she doesn't come for her meals! Onyx has more than one string to her bow,,,

That's good to hear that Onyx has a back-up for her food supply

I can just imagine the smug look on your face when you told that lady that you had touched Onyx......

A cat's gotta do what a cat's gotta do! So, I can't take all the credit for her plump little sides and glossy coat, but I think I'm still Numero Uno ...my restaurant must br at least 4 stars ......

She doesn't not turn up for many meals Eileen, I think you can take all the credit for how Onxy has 'filled out' and flourished
