I'm the same with old buildings and ruins Elaine, just something about them where your imagination can run riot!! Have you ever done the castle trail round Aberdeenshire, it's great and there are some good ones to see!

mine is local history, we have lived in a few old house, and spent ages finding out the history behind them....
