Its a good job you live miles away up there, or you would have me knocking on your door, wanting to cuddle them all - all gorgeous and I still am amazed you have so many x

Re: A few of Liz's mob

We have so many as they are the ones nobody would take on even after foster care, ferals who couldn't survic=ve the weather, so still haven't forgiven us for drugging them to move - Ace and Sailor and some just love all the good stuff, food, heating, laser pen but have issues with the humans but they are safe and happy so we are greatful for that.

Still feral chasing is fun when we have to take them to the vet which is twice a year for boosters and program we book early appointments so they are still half a sleep then we try and get them in to the crushers and so are very good and freeze so go in normal boxes!

Our new vets are still learning about the cats which can be interesting and they are starting to see we know our cats and can do 8 in 25 mins!

The house is fab =- Elaine checked it out for us and then we came to view but we sold our souls to get it and now have a huge mortgage but the kids are safe and noone minds about the cats or dogs and they have playmates next door and are currently training their new puppy to respect cats!

Liz - the things we do for our cats (including mortgaging ourselves to the hilt ). You have some superb kitties there and I raise my hat to the work you do with them

They are all so beautiful but my favourite is Minim, but I am a bit biased as I breed Colourpoint Persians and have always loved the coat pattern and stunning blue eyes.

Re: A few of Liz's mob

Unfortunately the only "cat work" we are doing is trying to trap 2 stray boys, one dumped called Tyson he is huge a black and white fluffy who eats the food with worming granules in and the latest about a year old and a white pawed fluffy tabby now called Cooper. We are hoping to trap them soon but the weather has turned bad and no-one is for going in to the traps but they like our single garage - we have a double with a cat flap to and seem to be using the beds with heat pads.

No one up here seems to want help in the fostering department and the local Cp don't want help either sepite what their website says - we have tried but its their loss to the amount of £3000 a year as our old branch 150 miles away will still lets us foster ferals for them so we give the money we get for fostering through hubbies work back to them ans also do a sponsered walk with matching so I' afraid that if they asked for help now as I was told by pm that we weren't wanted I would tell them to shove it - fostering for 10 years with no aggro but up here they seem to think my cats are to many of and they may give a disease to any fosters - my vets bills are an average of £300 a month excluding any "big things" in fact 40 Millebex wormers cost us £131.00 last friday - thats one for each of our own - the boys outside and one spare.

I also have a complete isolation area - the guest wing with its own bathroom so not much chance they would mix with mine anyway as they aren't allowed there as its nice to have a couple of fur free rooms!!!!

have to say no-one came to the house to inspect us either or took up the references I provided so will ignore all up here and help a branch that doesn't mind our mob.

We also make sure any cats/kittens are dog proof - we let them practice stalking the dogs!!!!!

Re: A few of Liz's mob

Liz, I still think its a disgrace that the CP and Cat Action Trust dont want your help up here, but I did tell you before you moved that they are crap up here. I know its not the same in alot of other areas so dont take offense Smudgley, I know you do an excellent job.
But up here they really need to wake up and smell the coffee.
I still think you should shame them all by writting an article for the local press Liz.
