Yes it gets the sun early morning and then afternoon so a nice sunny spot don't think I will need a hide as when you sit down there at the table the birds forget you. especially under the brolly.

Sounds as if it's going to be really nice when it's finished...such energy you have! What sort of tree are you thinking of putting in? A flowering one?

Not sure yet Dm, not sure will be looking aroundin the next few weeks. nothing to big or invasive root system being close to the house well about 20ft away.

Lots of nice small flowering trees: dogwood is lovely (or do you have the dogwood blight there also in the UK?), or a golden rain tree, or maybe a redbud? I talked my friend into a redbud when he was re-doing his front yard, and he loves it..foliage turns a brilliant gold in the Fall. Will be fun to see what you decide on!

I sometimes feel I am gardening for thousands. I will let you know what I decide on, and update the pictures. May go for a false acer. Not sure but always liked these.
