Re: Windy weather

It's really bad here. Neighbour's tree has been blown over, Ken's on his way back from the office now as he's shut it up due to constant power outages and the fact that it's up on a big old hill and trees are falling like skittles aparently . . . close by to where the office is, someone died when their car got hit by a tree earlier today .

Re: Windy weather

It's horrid here too. The rain has stopped but the winds are awful. I'm dreading my 20 minute drive home from work, as it's along country roads and there are always trees blown into the road when the winds are like this.

Can't wait to get home and put the heating on!!

Re: Windy weather

Oh my word, look at that shed!

I've been driving a lot today & I must admit the M6 was scary at times, I felt the car pull a couple of times when a gust of wind got behind me.

A man in Bridgnorth was killed when a tree went through his car, he was the director of B'ham airport.

A lorry overturned causing severe delays on the M42.

& 5 of our fence panels have blown down at home.

Re: Windy weather

Best advice is to stay indoors tonight unless you really have to go out

My sympathies to all those who have suffered structural damage .......... hopefully this gale will subside very soon
