I'm going out for a posh Thai meal with my fella and then home to see the New Year in with a few drinks in front of the fire. Nothing that glam, but it should be nice.

Re: What are you doing New Years Eve?

Jane, so sorry for your loss. That must be so hard. I shall think of you at midnight.

I am now working on New Years Eve with the patient that I worked with last night. She is in the advanced stage of cancer and her husband is really struggling. It is the first New Year's Eve that I have not spent with my OH since we met and will be strange not to be with my children, however I feel I will be doing a worthwhile job and it will take my mind off my own loss.

What a heartbreaking yet so rewarding job that must be Kim. I always remember the nurses who came into my granda near the end, and the gratitude we felt was immense. I'm sure her family feel exactly the same towards you. x
