Crikey, what a project! What's the time-scale likely to be?

Don't have a time scale as such - it's a big job & we knew it would take 4/5 months to comlpete. They work very hard & are really great builders. We are well under way now & it's taking shape. The stairs arrives today (we are in a bungalow - but having a staircase put in) I've taken loads of pics & will do some before & after once they have finished.

Re: the workmen have started inside

Well, I did finally dare to look and I think I would be in an asylum by now!!!!

When we did work on our house we did it room by room (but then we weren't extending, just renovating). That was bad enough . . . but when the house was being rewired and the central heating was being installed I did come back to a 1 inch layer of dust covering everything, night after night. . . enough to make you break down in tears

Smudgley - I think the only thing that would keep me going in the case of building work like yours is the 'big picture' on the wall of the house once finished!!!
