Yes I used to try & discourage her after the "cuteness factor" had wore off - but she insisted on doing it & the dog seemed to like it & washes Smudge whilst she's suckling - so i figured it's not hurting either of them & if they like it - well...................... why not!

Your right it is weird. In saying that though I agree with the others, they must be really close or the dog would soon see the cat off!

Yes it is a bit weird. They must both find it quite comforting, so I wouldn't worry too much!
