It wasn't local vet, but the cat bit somebody and the vet decided it was feral, even though it had been in the vet for a week being handled previous to this happening.

To say I was upset was an understatement, as was the other rescue trying to rehome him.... but he was under the vet's care at the time.

I'll bet! When you said he'd been PTS, while I thought it was sad, I simply took it that he had been unwell enough for this to be the kindest action, not this wanton disregard for life!
