It's unlikely that he was, because what he had before was broken, and you could move it up and down, side to side without hurting him. It was still quite firmly attached and that is why the vet decided to leave it as it appeared to be causing no problems at the time. Although he did have a small sore spot a week's course of Clavaseptin and application of Fuciderm seemed to sort it out. That was until a couple of months later when further problems started reoccuring.
I love both of their markings & colors!
