The people who handed them in - they phoned a few days ago to ask if we would take them, and as they were inside & being looked after it was arranged for them to come in today & they were advised not to let any go. Today they were collected & we were told they let one go yesterday, so we just have 2 and the mom. they are 6 and a half weeks old

Re: The I litter are here..........

I'm in Morecambe, Lancashire. I have to tell you I'm crushed by these kittens - I can't believe kittens can ever end up in a foster or a rescue.

But I would feel awful taking them in without a backup plan in case it goes wrong. If you can work something out, I would love to take them in (and would be able to in very little time, depending on your needs - Edit: and their age, they look TEENY!) but if there's no viable backup plan then... Well...

Then I'll cry myself to sleep for a week but be happy because I'm sure you'll find them a lovely, loving home.

You're too far away Snoof, but there will be lots of kittens around soon.

You wouldn't believe how many unwanted kittens there are in the world. Nothing surprises me anymore & I'm not at all surprised they let one go. As soon as I put them in the pen, they both ran to mommy & started suckling, so I just hope the other one is fully weaned.

Poor little kitten

I just rang the rescue we got Ninja from and the lady said in a couple of months they'll be inundated with kittens. It's disgraceful really But I'm sure we'll find a pair that suits us then.

Still crying myself to sleep tonight though

It would be worth asking the local rescue if you can go on their waiting list Snoof. Kittens are born all year round, but from March the "kitten season" starts & there will be a lot of kittens born in spring / summer.

Re: The I litter are here..........

You're right. I'm a sucker for kittens. Especially little ginger ones. And little tortie-and-white ones. And even though I know their mum is right in front of them and they're at least in a safe, loving home ... they look so abandoned.

I need a bigger house! If I had my way I'd just take in every kitten I saw.
