Re: Horrible situation

Poor Amber - not long until Monday though.

I can also understand you being annoyed with the rescue. But at least you know what is going on and she didn't get out so she'll be fine in a day or two.

Will be thinking about ou tomorrow as I know we all worry when our babes go in to vets for an op.

Re: Horrible situation

That's the hard part: the pre-op fast; they look at you with those imploring eyes and don't understand why there's no food!

Re: Horrible situation

Vets just been on the phone, all went ok & we get her back today after 4.30pm. She was getting her microchip as well while she was under anaesthetic. I always have this irrational fear that something will go wrong when they have to go into the vets for anything - will leave home about 3.50 - very bad flooding down our way so we should get
there for 4.30pm to pick her up.

When youve only had them for a short time & theyve got a history of being
abandoned once, you wonder if they
think theyve been abandoned again

Interestingly the vet we saw this morning thought Amber was nearer to 6 months than the 4 we were told she
was. No matter - so long as shes okay. Just be glad to get the wee munchkins home.

Re: Horrible situation

Hope you are both soon safely home.

I read somewhere and am not sure how correct it is that when cats first come into oestrus can depend on the time of year that they are born.

Re: Horrible situation

Well the little one is home. She is so distressed in the buster collar She has eaten a little, drunk a lot & played with Tim's tail the stitches are dissolvable so she doesnt have to go back unless there are problems

I settled her in the big crate tonight & all was well until Tim decided to wander across the top if it. Naughty boy. He wants Amber out to play!

16 weeks is so young to come into season isnt it, they are not physically fit to have babies when wee babies themselves.

We have roads closed due to flooding & journey tonight to collect her was rough between long detours & adverse weather so glad to have her home safe & sound. When we brought her carrier in, the dogs & Tim were all over waiting to see her. The dogs, especially Harvey is so protective towards the kitts. He would have made a good mother!! lol......!
