Right then, jumped on the train.....not keen but i done it! went to birmingham backwards, goto the office to be greeted by an Army Officer asking 'Which Career?' I replied 'RAF, sir'
He pointed to a desk, which i sat at, pressed a buzzer and waited, Then a HUGE man aproached me, stuck his hand out and said hello, so i stood and shook his hand (Corpral Thurston) We had a chat about what i wanted to do, my other options available (Mechanical instead of Avionics) and other job roles, ie. Air traffic controller and Communications specialist, but i am keen on the avionics side of things.
Gave me a WAD of paper to fill in, loads of forms i have to get and a target for my fitness.
Since getting back, ive spent 30mins on the phone trying to gather all bits of paper/certificates i need etc so just a case of getting it all ready and getting it back upto the office. I then get a date for my Aptitude test, which im quite anxious about, as that dictates what jobs i will be suited for. After that i have another interview then a medical, all being well i have a fitness test (1.5miles in 12mins) i should breeze it, then final interview and off i go!
Thankyou to everyone who wished me Luck, very much appreciate, oh and ive had my hair cut! I really like it, and think it gives me a much more approachable look!
Thanks again
Eddy
