I like his simplistic style, but he captures people well, and I love his dogs and cats, I think we could all draw those.

Such an evocative picture of a time gone by. Eileen - Lowry hailed from Salford, a suburn of Manchester (northern industrial city now enjoying a rennaisance). He painted what he saw - people going about their daily business with this characteristic economy of line.

I would love to visit his museum/gallery when next in Manchester. Lucky you Dawn to have such a super picture.

Emma -they have ORIGINAL Lowry's in Harrods???? Blimey. I didn't think you could buy these at all any more!

Yes they had about 5 drawings I think they were all about £45,000 each some very VERY simplistic
