Have they detected the PRA gene yet? Its the only problem with these tests, you can test a dog each year for years and they will be clear, and at say age 6 they test positive, its too late for all the puppies a male has sired, or the puppies a bitch has procuced. I seem to remember they were working on the gene for PRA in Labs, do you know if it has been found? This was a fantastic breakthrough for CLAD in Irish Setters, completely eradicated it.

Thanks for that Smudgley, its very interesting. I board 2 6yr old litter brothers from top show people BOTH are virtually blind, its dreadful to see them.
