Re: HELP with a potential new name for Chico?

Is Chi-Chi girlie? Probably
Choo-Choo? No, that's silly.
Actually, if you want to change his name I think you should "just do it". He doesn't know the sound c-h-i-c-o is his name - he doesn't even have a concept 'name'. He just knows that in his old house, the chico noise meant it was in his best interest to pay attention where the noise was coming from. If it turns out that the noise 'saucepan' leads to nice things happening in his new house, he'll be happy to adapt!
Good luck!

Re: HELP with a potential new name for Chico?

I went back to the other thread about Chico being rescued and looked at his face. I have to be honest and admit that it's a face that I personally couldn't actually love (so sorry to those of you who obviously do - it's all a matter of taste) but nevertheless my subconscious came up with "Kashmir" - so I offer it like a small mouse to say sorry for my uncharitable thoughts!

Aw Angie - Chico will be SO upset when I tell him

Seriously - don't apologize please, cats and their appeal are such personal things - just think there are some people that actually don't like any cats

Kashmir is a good name too, I'm thinking these eastern sounding names actually work quite well. I guess I'll know for sure once I meet him

Re: HELP with a potential new name for Chico?

I know a poor person who doesn't like ANY ANIMALS AT ALL. She has a definite phobia and gets uncomfortable when other people talk about animals. She is OK with birds and insects though. It's not her fault and I do pity her. I think a world without animals would be a horrible place.

When is Chico coming to live with you Yola?

I'm picking him up on the 5th of March (a week from today).

I have a terrible phobia of birds. Will cross the street to avoid a pigeon or even a feather

PMSL Angie (but not on a pheasant).

Best thing that could have happened to it IMO, either than or being roasted You think it was a pheasant???? How much beer had you drunk

Anyway - ahem; back to the serious business of a name for the fluffy one . . .
