No idea, Angieh. The Veterans Hospital wouldn't admit him yesterday because it's not a "war related illness". He's staying with my half aunts. He thinks he was in a car accident and my Grandma is divorcing him. My half aunts called my mother yesterday and told him they were getting a lawyer to sue my Grandma for half of the estate to pay for a facility. It's not supposed to happen like this... |

Tink,I am so very sorry to hear your sad story. Surely some organisation must help deal with the person with the altzeimers and also help your family to cope? Could your dr not put you in touch with the correct people. I imagine it is probably different in America but here social services would get involved either through a dr or a hospital. Then either help would be given at home or the patient would be admitted to a care home. It is an awful situation and I wish you and your family all the best. Jan x |
