I have my windows open with a small gap and the catch on so they can't push it open and I have a fan or 2 on aswell.

I also have house cats one of which is adept at sniffing out an open window and jumping straight out of it, although thankfully, so far the top window he just sat sideways on the top window sill, much to my alarm when I found him! I tend to leave the window on the ventilate setting and also use fans in the house. I have windows open fully in rooms that the doors remain shut so the pussy s cant get in ! Its difficult to be sure in a heatwave! Jan x
