I'm Back- yet again !!!

Good morning Pamela and Shelley,
Sorry I haven't been around lately as I've been trying to get used to the new medication for nerve pain that I've been given, and it makes me zombie-like, but no hallucinations, thank goodness.I don't think I'm going to continue on these pills though, as they're not doing a lot for the pain and they make me so dopey most of the time. I was sitting on my chair holding a hot water bottle and must have gone to sleep because when I woke up ,I had bad burns on the palms of both hands and the blisters were so painful.
Apart from all that, I am okay and am going to make a real effort to go onto Catsey and keep in touch with both of you. I am so sorry that I have deserted you both and I would hate to lose touch with either of you.
It;s another nice day today but we have had very high winds lately, unusual for us at this time of year and a state of emergency was declared here in Christchurch as a result. I actually love the sound of the wind and find it very soothing, but it was dangerous to be out and about in it as trees were coming down all over the place.
I've been waiting for Harry the Burwood Hospital Cat calendars to be made but so far they haven't been done. I want to send you both one. Hopefully this time they will be done properly. I really have a soft spot for Harry.
Not sure what we're going to have for tea tonight. I don't go down to the mall anymore as walking is too painful, and besides, I'm not meant to walk until I have my other MRI, which seems to be taking forever, nor will the physio touch me until I have the said MRI, so I can't get any exercises. My doctor wants me to use one crutch when I walk, but, I find I can walk around the house unaided, although it is painful. Try using a crutch when you have big blisters on your hands - it's impossible!

PAMELA, congratulations on your promotion at work. You deserve it. How is that lovely new house of yours going? I hope you have some lovely neighbors. It's good that there are some decent walks you can take the girls on. Please don't go falling over any more tree stumps! I know it is so frustrating when you want to do things but can't. I hope your elbow is now feeling much better and has mended well. You must be so excited about Charlie - what a great Christmas present for you both, and what a lovely addition to your family. I hope Mia and Robyn are doing well and enjoying living in their new house. I'm glad that your dad is keeping well. He's probably been back to Thailand since I last spoke to you. He certainly loves traveling and it's good that he's got some mates to go with him.

SHELLEY, I hope you are keeping well and enjoying your beautiful new grandchild. I know that the baby is due in October so he/she will be very new yet and also very beautiful. I bet James and Hannah are over the moon with their new addition, and Chris will be proud to be an uncle. I hope your work is going well Shelley, and you're not too busy. You'll be looking forward to the Christmas holidays no doubt and I suppose you're going to the van with Howard and the pups. I hope the pups are doing well and your dad and Jett are both enjoying life. How are your doll fairs going? I suppose as you're coming into your winter, there won't be too many of them now, but hopefully your doll club members will be planning a get-together before Xmas.

Well I've got to get off this computer chair as it really hurts my back to sit on it too long. I'm going to go and sit down on my comfy chair and read my library book for a while. Janna is going to go down and do some shopping and I'll probably go to sleep as I don't sleep much at night even though I am totally zonked when I go to bed. Snoddy likes me to lie there beside him anyway.
Have a wonderful day Pamela and Shelley and love to all fur babies. I promise to post regularly from now on. Don't work too hard.
Maggie
