Just had Merlin to the eemergency vets...He was spotting blood, she think it's an infection, he is to have an antibiotic injection every second day for a week....Hopfully we have caught it in time...Leo had bladder crystals a few years ago...I was worried Merlin had the same....

He is spotting blood, hasn't had a big piddle since lastnight, although still eating, chasing flies and bashing his brothers..Tara has her booster today and Casper his second jab, so will speak to the vet again the. He is due back at the vet tomorow...

Fran

At least he sounds ok in himself and isn't feeling poorly Moli. Let's hope they get him sorted out quickly. It's always worrying when you see blood

Moli

Yeah vets know how to charge, don't they especially out of hours... My friend had to take her dog to the vet a couple of nights ago at midnight, she had eclampsia. It was £90 before the vet even looked at the dog

It would have to come at the same time as Tara's booster!!, he is a lot better now, is drinking, and not so restless.....Hopfully the antibiotics have started to work....

Moli
23-09-2005, 11:37 AM
He seems better today, his piddle is now cokeacola coloured so thats a good sign, back to vets tomorrow....Looks like he may have to have the same monthly injection Leo has....

Fran
23-09-2005, 11:42 AM
Glad he is on the mend Moli...hope it doesn't have to come to him having monthly injections :(

Moli
23-09-2005, 11:43 AM
Its queer how both my exotics have the same problem, although merlin is not as bad as Leo was....Yet the breeder say's its not common in exotics....

Fran
23-09-2005, 11:45 AM
Are they both from the same breeder Moli with any common ancestory?

Moli
23-09-2005, 11:48 AM
No they are from different breeders, Leo came from the same breeder as Oliver and Casper, Merlin was from another one...I phoned her when he was really bad, she say's she has never had the problem with her's, she phones everyday to see how he is...

Mags
23-09-2005, 01:20 PM

Mags
24-09-2005, 06:27 PM
Is it some sort of infection Moli?

Moli
24-09-2005, 06:29 PM
She say's he has cyctitis (sp)....

Mags
24-09-2005, 06:31 PM

Mags
24-09-2005, 06:57 PM
He sounds like the feline version of Mollie

Moli
25-09-2005, 09:22 PM
He is, she has had a really sore face, where she has been carrying tree branches, she has cut her face quite badly, under both eyes, as the cuts are in the creases it's difficult to clean them..I got cream for nappy rash yesterday, it seems to be helping...
Do you think she will leave those bloomin branches alone!!!!

Mags
25-09-2005, 09:38 PM
Awwww poor Mollie, she won't learn will she :roll: I expect the cuts and scratches really show up against the white too :? {{{hugs Mollie}}}

Moli
25-09-2005, 09:41 PM
She has two horrible dirty marks down the side of her eye's, and until I get the little pest to leave those branches alone, they will not go away...

Mags
25-09-2005, 09:46 PM
Where does she find all these branches?

Moli
25-09-2005, 09:56 PM
She has been known to break the branches off of dead tree's!!!!

Mags
25-09-2005, 09:57 PM
Why don't you take a bone out with you....it may deter her :?

Moli
25-09-2005, 09:59 PM
She takes a squeeky toy with her, but as soon as she see's a branch that is dropped for me to pick up and put in my pocket..The dog is obsessed.... She isn't really that keen on bones or dog treats...

Mags
25-09-2005, 10:01 PM
I hope Tara and Gypsy don't do the same

Moli
25-09-2005, 10:03 PM
No they are foodies, Gypsy sticks to me watching my pocket, Tara chases the brids with one ear back listening for Gypsy crunching a biscuit....

Mags
25-09-2005, 10:04 PM

Moli
25-09-2005, 10:54 PM

Jac
26-09-2005, 10:43 AM
