It's all going ahead. We are going to apply for planning permission & providing it is granted, we can apply for a licence & off we go. We are in the process of designing the cat pens & drawing the plans to submit to the council. Our garden is large & we have approx 15 gardens backing onto us (some at the sides & some across the bottom) so I'm thinking some of them will object  But ultimately (sp) it's up to the council to decide. I'm quite excited already, but my head is running away with ideas at the mo & we haven't even got consent to run a business here yet
I thought I'd get Kazz on the case of helping me choose a nice name for it - if it all goes ahead.
Brilliant Smudgley, sounds like you have it all worked out....

It's so exciting - a bit scary too though - but we have nothing to loose really - so just fingers crossed that we get the planning, as we are in a residential area :( but I know of lots of catteries in residential areas.
WOW Two naming jobs in one night - roll on Autumn
Okay okay got one a name that is want to hear it?????
Great news Smudgley and exciting times ahead!!
Kazz will do you proud with a name for your new cattery

No more news really.
I have spoke to the planning dept & written a letter to the council outlining the conversation I had with the planning officer with photos. They will get back to me in about a month after they've looked at the proposal & contacted the highways agency for advice regarding parking - then if it seems viable we will submit some proper plans.
main problem seems to be drainage - very difficult to get drains down there & more to the point very expensive :?
