Oliver's peed in Luna's basket.... again!!!!!

How often do you clean out the litterbox completely??

I mean empty it, wash it and put new sand in???

I use "lumpy" sand, I mean its claylike...

It cant already be time for us to move it inside... Its not that cold... argh he's doing me head in :evil: :evil:

I wash my box everyday..There must be a smell in Luna's bed attracting him, what do you wash her covers in?

I clean Cassie's box every day.....I can't think why Oliver should start doing that again OM :?

ours get emptied every day, and washed every other day, otherwise the dogs would have a feast!!!!!!!

I empty it for litter atleast once a day (every morning) and when I remember it in the afternoon.

Its on the balcony, but will be moved inside when it gets colder, cos he wont go to the balcony when its cold :roll:

Luna doesnt go in to the litterbox at all.. Last winter it was standing on the floor.. No problems...

Pat: I use normal washing powder...

PK: Yes he was neutered when he was about 6 months old (he's 9 years old now)

That is very similar to the one I have for Cassie OM, except I haven't got the pull-out compartment on the side....and it has a deodorizer in the top section..

That is so cool Mags... All the lumps and things end up in that tray and then u pull it out and empty it :) There's a sieve inside, sorting the fine sand from the lumps

Oh...the outside of Cassies's is similar to Oliver's but now you describe the inside, yours is a lot posher!! :-D

it might be that Oliver is trying t cover Luna smell and that is how cats do it, he is saying that he is the boss

After you told me that yesterday, I made sure I spent some time with him, before we went to bed.. I brushed him... he loves to be brushed.

I will make sure I spend more time with him..

This was exactly wot I was worried about , before I had Luna.. If I had enough time for both :? :(

it may also be that he dont want to go out side to pee and that the bed looked a nice place :lol:
i cont think of much you can do to stop him doing it on her bed, you have to make sure that you wash the area well as the smell will make him go there again

Well it could be he doesnt want to go out on the balcony..He doesnt when its cold :roll:
