View Full Version : Always hungry.....
Since we brought Cassie home from the Cattery last Tuesday she has been continually 'asking' for food. She'll eat a full dish in no time and is still hungry so I've started feeding her three times a day.....and she is still pestering me for more. Has anyone any suggestions?
Is she due for worming Mags?
I last wormed her in January. I keep thinking of that mouse's head that disappeared....do you think that could have given her anything?
Well, they do get worms from mice but it would be unlikely that she has a heavy worm burden and insatiable appetite in such a short space of time since that happened. I worm mine every three months, because they hunt so perhaps you could try worming her and see if it makes any difference.....
Yes, I think I will PK. She's due to go to the vet this month for her booster so if it continues I'll mention it.
Thanks!
Let us know what happens Mags.
it couldn't be comfort eating could it...because you left her..probably a daft idea!!!
Maybe not so daft Moli..
I thought that maybe she didn't eat too well in the cattery and was making up for it. I don't think the owners would tell me....they just say the same every time I ask..'Oh she's been fine, no trouble'
That was one of my thoughts too, I wondered if the upset of being without you had stopped her eating properly. Had she lost any weight when you picked her up Mags? If she hadn't eaten properly for two weks she would definetely have lost weight
She always feels a bit lighter when I collect her and I always check with them as to how she's been eating (to which the answer is always 'fine').....but it makes me wonder :?

some cats dont eat as they should do when away from home or when you have people in.Mine panic when i go away (which isnt very oftern) but one of mine wont eat till i come home, then she packs it away.Cassie is just catching up as she was probably unsettled in cattery .Wouldnt hurt to worm her.I do all mine every 3 months.
Thanks for the comments and advice Sam....it's nice to be reassured..
