I wanted to reply to your post re your tumble dryer problem but I can't seem to find the OP. I've been thinking that if your cat was ok going into the room before the tumble dryer arrived then it has to be the reason he is reluctant to go in now. Have you been having the tumble dryer on since you got it, perhaps it sounds different from the old one :? Maybe don't turn it on until he has accepted going back into the room again. Perhaps you could try putting his food in the door way into there - a sort of compromise so that he doesn't have to actually go into the room to get his food and when he is happy with that gradually move it slightly each day until it is where it usually is. Let us know how you get on!

Hi PK, jsut left him to it lastnight, and he is going in there now, don't know how he will react when I put it on, he will get used to it though...I just ignored him, and it seems to have worked...

Merlin was terrified with our new dryer, he kept dashing upstairs when it was on and wouldn't come down till it was off, he is not so bad now, still not sure...This one looks different from the old one...

Do you mean he didn't like the look of it ...or the sound?

It has a solid door, my old one had a glass door, this one has a blue digital display, whereas the old one had dials, he was terrified of it....Plus this one is a condenser, the old one was vented outside, so it does sound different...

 ....next time you need to buy something new you'll have to consider whether the cats are going to like it!

Awww...sounds like he wanted the glove for his 'comfort blanket'! I can't believe he is 6 months already!

This is probably a daft question but....what is 'chuckey's'?
