As your cat has got older does he/she have a widewr range of sounds/noises/vocal noises?

Mine seem to come up with a new one every now and again

My two exotics have always been very vocal, one is 11, the other one is 16 months, and both are about the same. Of course Oliver is always talking...

Yes I've noticed that too. It's almost as if they've learned to understand us and are talking back!

Mine are quite quiet cats really.
Emily can't even do a meow, it's like a sqeak, my hubby says to her "your pathetic Em, that's not a meow"
Smudge does a funny noise - (anyone know Ann off little Britain, I swear Smudge does that.....) ay, ay aooow. Just like crazy Ann.
Mitten is quiet.

All my cats are vocal. They all answer if you speak to them and always come to say good morning to me! They range in age from 18months to 18 years and the least vocal of them is the youngest - Maud
