My dog does have eyes - she just chose to close them on that photo :-D (it's not a very good photo of her)

the cats don't chase the duck at all, they never have really (we had to be careful when Jemima was tiny, but we introduced them gradually & they all get on well. They never chase the chickens either.

Jemima looks fairly young by the fluffy down on her head.

yes she was very young on that pic, she's a bit older now, but still only a few months old now.

Love you tapestry cats they a really gorgeous...I know thats not the right name for them, it,s what they remind me of...

Emily has similar markings to my Cassie - the difference being that Cassie looks as if she's dipped her nose and mouth in gravy!

Emily has a lovely personality ~ she would never kill anything, not even a fly. She is loving & pleasant & enjoys spending most of the day inside.

Smudge is Miss attitude herself! She struts around & makes us laugh, she headbuts us when she wants fuss whilst purring & she thinks the dog is her mom! Yes she still suckles from the dog (gross I know, but I can't stop her, she gets comfort from it)

Mitten is still confused about where we live! We moved 6 months ago & she still goes to the old house each time she goes out, she has a great relationship with my husband & she kisses him & follows him everywhere (she doesn't think much of me & the kids though)

When we got Smudge she was 6 weeks old & started snuggling up to the dog for cuddles, the dog who was having a phantom pregnancy at the time started to top & tail Smudge. After a few days I thought she was suckling from her, but then thought............no she can't be, but when I looked she was! :shock:
Dog was happy, this was her baby, cat was happy ~ she'd found a new mommy & we were ok, because it was really cute. But the cuteness stopped when the fluffy kitten changed into a beautiful adult cat - but the suckling continued. Carli comes to work with me each day & when we get back Smudge is always waiting at the door for her "Mommy".
We have tried lots of ways to discourage her, but now we just let them get on with it! Smudge is now 16 months old.

Awww that is such a wonderful story Smudgley. How does Smudge feel about things when Carli has her own litter of puppies nursing?

Yes they do have a really special relationship, they will roll around together & Smudge nuzzles up to Carli & brushes against her body. Carli will be having pups in the summer, so we'll wait & see what she has to say about it. :)
