I can't believe it, it is only a short while ago things seemed to be looking up for Mitten. I am so sorry for you and I really don't think that I can say anything to ease the pain you are feeling at this time. Just don't forget we are here if you need us. Big hugs from all of us at this difficult time for you

thanks all, told the kids this morning and they took it well. my youngest girl (who i have not learned is a cat person) says she wants another cat right away, but i dont know. if we do have another i want another ragdoll so it will have to be a few months so i can save for her. but the OH says he wants to go get them a moggie so we are going tobe looking in the local freeads to see if there are any in there.
Good luck with whatever you decide to do. Another cat may help the children cope better with the loss of Mittens, I know it helped my children getting another cat shortly after we lost one of ours.
How are your kiddies coping now Nat? I'm sorry but I can't remember if you told us how old they were.
