Has anybody got any toy ideas for indoor cats, as my two are indoor cats I am always trying to find ways of keeping them amused?

All ideas greatly received!

Ours are indoor kitties, so I do havee some ideas. :D

-Wrapping paper works well, especially in this season :-D

-Some foil, crinkleled up with a string tied to it, and dragged around is great fun.

- A empty film case with the top still on makes for hoursof play when you have a cat who likes batting things around. You can also put a hole in the bottom and tie a piece of string to it and pull it around for the cat.

- The traditional ball of yarn is great fun, especially when the person at the other end is trying to roll it up or untangle it.

- The inside of a toilet paper roll.

- Some fur (rabbit is best) tied to a piece of string and hung up somewhere so it dangles. If you are lucky enough to get a whole pelt then you may see the cats jump for it and dangle madly in midair

- A smallish bouncy ball, like a pingpong ball, is fun.

thats all I can think of at the moment :D hope it helps :D

Some fab ideas Kate - thank you so much - I like the sounds of the empty film case - we have wodden floors so I think they will love that as it will fly across the rooms!

Will update on you on the outcome.

Kate seems to have covered quite a few but I still say the best thing to keep your cat occupied this time of the year is a.............

DECORATED CHRISTMAS TREE

Abbi I just thought my MIL's kittens are indoor cats.

They've wound a piece of string around an empty kitchen roll and at the other end they have tied a tied a crumpled up piece of paper. They go nutts for it.

Mittens loves boxes
anything sahe can jump in and hide its even better if there is paper in there.

our xmas tree box is in the frount room and she will sit in there for hours and if you give her a few balls she has a great time.

But mittnes bast toy is my 2 year old  today her and him had a go at getting the tree down and when they could not they settled with a game of feach.

I've always found a cardbord box works wonders as well. Cassie spends most of the time chasing her tail in there and then drops off to sleep, tired out!

yeah Archie really loves his new toy - a cardboard box - he sits in it for hours!
