Sorry Abs, don't know much about professional photography but you're not doing too bad at it yourself.

It must take a lot of patience to get the right photo. Did you see the ones in the picture section that Heather in Australia took of her cats? They were absolute beauties, she captured them really well. I hope she will post some more for us soon.

You are doing very well Abs!!

I think it just takes lots of patience and hundreds and hundreds of pictures with one or two coming out good! I've taken squillons of pics and I really love about only 3 or 4!! it was worth it just for them cos I will always treasure the moment it caputered :-)

Here's two of my fave ones of Rocky http://img52.photobucket.com/albums/v160/azzzz/25april1.jpg

I know what you mean Azz, I loved Archie and Amber as kittens but you bond with them more as they get older and love them even more - I could not imagine life without them.

Altho I've only had Jas 3 years come May, I do love him more than when I first got him. He seems to know exactly what to do and when to do it.

Do cats react the same? If we are feeling a bit low or ill do cats come and comfort u?

Abbi
06-12-2004, 10:38 AM
YES! People say that cats can't greet you like a dog, but they dooo!!

When we get home, Archie especially comes running down the stairs and purrs like mad circuling around my legs - and if I feel a bit low I am sure they pick up on it and come and lie on your lap to cheer you up.

I find them good therapy!

What would Jasper be like with a kitten Na??

Naomi
06-12-2004, 02:29 PM
He'd be shaking in the corner Abbi :(

I took him to see a friend of mine last summer and she had 3 kittens, Jasper was descended upon by these three kittens and started whining in the corner :(

Abbi
06-12-2004, 03:26 PM
Awwww bless him - maybe he would get used to them after a while???

Naomi
06-12-2004, 05:33 PM
Yeah probably Abbi.

Mags
06-12-2004, 07:46 PM
Yes I agree, cats do give you a good welcome. The trouble is they wind themselves round your legs so much that you're in danger of falling over! Also you occassionally get a wecoming chirrup from them.

Abbi
06-12-2004, 08:32 PM
Oh yeah mine churp too Mags - especially when they are watching birds through the window - it sounds sooo cute!

Mags
06-12-2004, 11:40 PM
When we had Sam I used to talk to him and he'd sit there giving me his full attention, head on one side, and chirrup as if he was answering back. He was so sweet

Abbi

Awwww Mags - think of all the happy times you had with Sam - it's heartbreaking when they go but all the years of happiness are so giving.

A m8 of mine did it when she was helping us marshal at the Network Q Rally of Great Britain back in '97.

We were up on Sweet Lamb and it was as muddy as anything. He partner went back to get the car and left me, Paul and my m8 to walk back in our own time cos she was 3 months pregnant. We were walking along at quite a nice steady pace and that's when she left her welly in the mud. I was laffing so much I nearly peed myself
