Whilst visiting Portpatrick i noticed what i thought was rubbish on a picnic bench.
On further investigation i discovered a book in a plastic bag.
On it were the words I am a free Book.
It is part of a scheme to get more people reading , Bookcrossing and was started in 2012, the idea is to leave the books in special bags and labels, when you find one you can register online that you have found it and do a review.
It appears that only one other or possibly two people have had the book before me so hopefully i can read it and send it on it's way again

What a brilliant idea. I've recently come across a free art scheme that's a bit similar but it is in Australia! What's the book title, Shelley?

The title is Small Island by Andrea Levy, Angie

to be honest the book doesn't look too inspiring but i feel obligated to give it a go. It was lying all by itself in the rain on the picnic bench ;(

Do you like that book Gav?
I thought it was boring when I had to read it.

I am about to read Nineteen Eight-Four. I liked Animal Farm so thought this would be good too.

I've done bookcrossing for a few years; it's a great way to get rid of books I don't want to keep. It always makes me a bit sad that people don't record that they've found them though.

Small Island is great, and Andrea Levy's other books too.
