hi we own a cat which was bought for our son who is 18 by the way! weve had him just over 2 years beautiful cat may I had but these last 3 months or so hes become very greedy takin food off work top ie bread and anything he can open, hes constantly sat at the side of us when we are eating even when hes just been fed its getting beyond a joke now and we need some proper advice on what to do

Firsty I would consult a vet, but have you also wormed him recently? he could have a worm burden and this will make him ravenous as the worms will be eating the food he swallows so he gets nothing from it. Ofcourse there could be other reasons too.

He could also have hyperthyroidism, very common with older cats. You need to consult with a vet. Hope he gets on ok. X

welcome to catsey, hope you get your hungry boy sorted out.
Rule out worms then look into Hyperthyroidism as the two previous posters have suggested.

Hii would go with thyroid problems too. Its very easy to diagnose, simple bloodtest & inexpensive treatment

Hi gunner - can't offer any other ideas to above. I would get him to the vet and find out what's wrong.
