Here is the finished lotus book. The folded pages inside work quite well (after I'd got my head around folding them all the same way!) but I didn't do well with my fairy dust and must do better next time!
The text is from Midsummer Night's Dream:
"I know a bank whereon the wild thyme blows, etc."
Cover:

I'd thought of Oberon as a bit of Green Man and a bit of Herne the Hunter and a bit of a tree!
I was pleased how the book opened out and lay flat on the covers:

It's meant to look like a lotus flower when it's opened out, but I can't quite see it and perhaps the paper is too thick ....

But each page does open out and can be read, which I doubted would be possible, but it works!

This was one of my recent decorative papers that I liked, and some nice ribbon bought on eBay.
The book tied:

It has caused some headaches but was worth it I think. I had intended, if I thought it good enough, to give to my best school friend as a present but I think I'll try again as it isn't as neat as I'd like. I did learn a lot though!
