I went to feed the cats today and I think I saw another kitten scurry away. I'm not sure if my mind is playing tricks on me. I'm going to have to dig everything out again to double check.

So, if there is another baby and I can catch him/her, is it ok to put him with Cheddar? or is it better to have them separated until they get used to one another?

Kittens tend to get on better than older cats. But you might want to keep them separate until the new one had been checked by the vet as he or she may have fleas etc.

Yes, that's a good thought .... I wonder if originally they are all from the same litter?

Awww, another Cheddar?? nah, they must have broken the mould afar making him :D seriously, hope this little one can be rescued safe and sound. But yes, check him/her out for disease and pests :D

I'm going to assume so. The others were a bit bigger than Cheddar though but that could be because they were with mom the whole time and Cheddar was cast aside. Maybe that has delayed Cheddar a bit? The SPCA never said anything about the other female nursing when she got spayed last week.

I'm going to try to find him today. I got to get the lawn tractor out of the way so I can dig everything out. If he's really hidden in the back of the shed, I have no way of getting to him. Let's hope it's not the latter.

I saw the last kitten but don't really have a way to catch, Katica was there. I'm thinking of going to get a small trap to lure the little one or just have him stay with his mom and get him neutered/spayed. Not sure yet.

Maybe the mother cat has moved on & he has gone too

No, I've seen Katica almost daily, last time I saw her was earlier today. He's still so young, do kittens move on their own this young?

Me too angieh. :)

When I saw him I set the trap right away hoping to catch him. This is what I got:

I had to find a way to get Katica out of the trap without loosing Devon/Brie.

So, this is what I did:

I had to go into the brush to find a bunch of sticks to make a barrier. The kitten kept getting through it so I dug a trench so the sticks would be below the level of the bottom of the trap, that way he couldn't push through.

This is the end result:

I was sweating my butt off but was well worth it. Now to tame him and get him into a new forever home. :-)

Any tips?

I would definitely keep him away from Cheddar or all your good work with him may be undone. My OH suggests using food to help tame him in the form of a lot of tiny meals so he associates you with treats. It's inconvenient but will work. He needs a lot of small amounts of human contact that are as stress free as possible. Good luck, you've done a great job with Cheddar.
