Sorry darling Kizzy, a day late ...............

Kizzy is a very special girl. For newer forum members, I lost my dear old soldier Merlin on 23rd March and managed less than 3 weeks without a cat in the house. My OH too had noticed a definite cat-shaped hole, so through the goodwill of a couple of Catsey members, we adopted Kizzy. She is most definitely the Queen of My Heart and a complete joy. I continue to bless her coming to live with us on almost a daily basis!

Here is a wee haiku on her 5th Gotcha Day:

Ever free to go
She chooses to return home
To me, my cat Kizzy.

I've been wondering about possessive pronouns, such as "my". I don't think there is a word that means mutual owning - she's mine and I'm hers. If anyone has come across such a word (in any language) I'd be pleased to know it.

Happy 5th Anniversary Kizzy!

She is looking gorgeous there Angie and I have to say, it does not seem 5 years.

When I saw Kizzy in the Cats Protection ladies spare room I though and I think she thought "HaHa"

Happy Gotcha day Kizzy

Thanks for your good wishes, ladies. Kizzy asks me to thank you too!

Velvet - she's probably nearer 7 years old, that's what's on her insurance. She was between 1 and 2 years when I adopted her. When I took her to the vet a while ago for a leg injury, the vet couldn't believe she was 7. Her teeth are perfect ........... lucky girl.

Kazz - it's my wish for all cats needing adoption, that they can all think "HaHa - here comes my forever home."

What a beautiful and very contented lady she is. I know what you mean Angie, about being mutually 'owned'. My little Chubbiz Boy Walter was exactly the same. Although I think he thought we were lucky to have him, which we probably were!
