Photo taken today at Butser Hill of Dora racing with two of her buddies. She can just about keep up!

Beautiful dogs Angieh. I love to see dogs running free and enjoying themselves. They are greyhounds, are they not? In NZ, we have greyhound rescue groups that rehome retired racing greyhounds. One of our prisons have such a group and a group of selected prisoners each take a greyhound and socialise it before rehoming. Are your 3 good with cats? I know some are excellent with them.

Thanks for your comments, folks - it was just one of those photos that took me by surprise when I downloaded them from the camera. Bless digital!

Yes, Kazz - Monty was already waiting at the pub by then!!!

Dinky, thank doG, they are not all ours! Dora, the black and tan is, the other two belong to our trainer and assistant trainer. All three are rescue dogs from the charity we all support, Lurcher SOS. Lurchers here are generally a cross breed, greyhound and another dog - certainly the two larger boys have more greyhound in them than our Dora, whose mother is certainly more lurcher-like than Dora. Sadly they are all quite prey driven and are not to be trusted with cats.

Dora is beautiful angieh. I didn't actually know what a lurcher was. They certainly look very like full greyhounds. Your Dora seems to be able to race with the big boys. Good for you for rescuing her.

Lovely dogs Angie. Does Dora have some Saluki in her? They all look like they are having great fun. What a shame they are not cat friendly. It is difficult if you get lurchers as adults. I wouldn't trust our 2 on their own with the cats, especially at feeding time but when we are here they are 100% safe. We always separate the lurchers and the cats if we are out. No point tempting fate. Fagin is lying on the sofa next to me at the mo, there's nearly room for me!! I'm so pleased you support lurcher and greyhound rescue. Lurchers have got to be the most badly treated dog and they are such loyal animals.
