so sorry to have to tell but we got a call from the vet this morning. ronnie had gone downhill over night. and was on oxygen as he was having trouble breathing.
so we went over there. he was struggling to breath. so after talking to the cet we had to make a choice. just couldnt let him struggle any more.i stayed with him to the end.and gave him a kiss goodbye.
going to miss my little man cat. or mr white whisker as i called him. going to miss not having him on the side of the chair tapping my hand when he wanted stokes.
sorry cant go on

I'm so sorry and I feel your pain. Take care my love, you did the most caring thing you could and now Ronnie is at peace, pain free and soon you will remember all the precious things you shared without the heartache you feel now. Play hard at the Bridge dear Ronnie x

Ive had a couple of hours where ive been tearfree, reggie has had quite alot of cuddles from me. im trying so hard here but this morning was just 1 of the worse ive had to deal with for a long time. this month has been hell. charlies mum was in hospital, shes got cancer, and we have been fighting to get her some help. then i went down with this dammed kidney infection. then family probs.
its horrible this month.

So sorry Cathy  Ronnie, along with Reggie was one of the original Catsey stalwarts when I joined. I'll miss him and your fab stories of their adventures.

Look after yourself ... Ronnie's in a good place now; not in pain and not scared. Give you other scamp a big hug from me x

Just had to do a sad job. i was still using a big bowl to feed reggie. so obviously way too much for for 1 cat. so just pulled out a small twin dish for reggie. it looks lost sitting in the middle of the place mat. (use puppy pads) ronnie was a messy eater he always let reggie eat out the bowl.where ronnie used to take a big mouthful spit it out on the floor and eat from the floor. so theres a small bowl there all on its own now :(

Is Reggie missing him too boys mum? he is. he hardly goes out.normally he would of been out on the ketter getting a bit of sun.but nope. hes been eating then straight into the bedroom. ive managed to stop him from hunching up on the windowsill in the corner. he will spend the day on my dressing gown. have to spread that out on the bed for him.we went out and when we got in he was so pleased i was home. loads of fuss. im tking him to the vets for a check up hes been stress washing again. base of his tail is being licked bald. but im spoiling him with his food. lot of little treats for him.
but ronnie is certainly missed here

I know it's hard all round boys mum but harder for Reggie who doesn't understand why his brother is not there. Hope your vet can suggest something to calm him and stop his stress washing.

Poor Reggie, at least us humans know what happened, he's dealing with his loss as best he can. I know you are doing the utmost to comfort him Cathy, give him cuddles from his Catsey aunties too xxx

Just wondered how things were going there? feeling a little less blue and more settled now with a passing of time.

Although its hard sometimes when you loose a cat who has been all their life as a "two" i.e "the cats" little individual traits appear that are interesting.

I have to say my Oscar and Cleo were together over 21 years and when Oz went I an d Cleo were bereft even calling her in (although she never went far) changed as she came back to the call.........."Oscaroscaroscarrrrrrr" but she adapted well and always appeared happy.
