Although the above link is a little out of date, I wanted to bring it to the attention of any one who may be looking to buy and cat or have recently done so.
The reason I want to bring this to peoples attention is because there is a breeder operating in the grampian region who is offloading much of their diseased stock by selling to unsuspecting people and also to rescues.
It is so important that people get educated and prepare themselves when looking for a new pet in order to save themselves alot of money and heartache.

Thanks Elaine. A very worrying virus and not something I'd come across before.

Very interesting. This was mentioned to me recently too. Chesi's had a couple of the symptoms described in your article Elaine which we don't know why; unexplained tongue tear (poss' ulcer?) all healed now, and the sniffles; both of which could be totally innocent cos he bites his nails!, & the other could be a household allergy, but it's something we all need to be aware of, especially those cats in a multi-cat household.
