Yes, we have a new adoptee. She moved in a couple of years ago with neighbours 2 doors down and I'd seen her around a lot. However, since they took on a dog she'd been spending most of her time out of doors and because they'd been renovating their house she always seemed to have some plaster or other gunk stuck to her coat :(

The boys started playing with her during the long summer holidays, they'd lie on the ground and she'd head-rub and head-bump them for ages. And then she started coming in and helping herself to Myshka's food. As she was very skinny I didn't mind too much.

Since then, she's completely made herself at home. She sleeps on or under the bed, scraps with Myshka, sits on our laps and occasionally when she's had enough, she'll give a sharp nip or claw swipe.

The neighbours don't seem to bothered - not sure if they know she's with us but nobody's come around, and no posters have gone up. She comes and goes to the outdoors on a daily basis, but never really ventures far from the confines of the garden. She's a real little sweetie, she's no spring chicken and I suspect she's just looking for a quiet life . . . and 2 kids are better then the 3 + dog she left behind!

Here she is with Sebi . . .

She really looks contented Yola - thanks for telling us her story. Some people really shouldn't have animals at all, should they? And other people just welcome them with open hearts and arms ..... so glad that you are all happy with the arrangement.

Thanks all, she is a real darling! Dead scared of Mysh though who is really flexing his fluffy muscles and showing her who is boss :smt075

Elaine, she can be a bit snappy, less so with us, but she doesn't like the fact that the boys are quick and noisy so they've been in receipt of a nip or two or a sudden swipe. Still, it'll teach them to respect her ;)

Girl cats can be right minxes. Milly almost got it from Rayne the other week coz she kept swiping her any time she entered the same room, poor Rayne had done nothing wrong.

Kizzy is much more likely to tell the dogs off than Pip, who is a push-over!

Marvellous - how great that Ripsy has found you and seems to have settled in well.

Dear old Mysh, I think he and Posh should form a support group  the Put-Upon Persians ...

She is a cute thing too, lovely markings and a character too I suspect :)

Thanks Nette. She's a real no-nonsense cat. Eats anything (usually in vast quantities and ALWAYS first), will swipe at anyone and anything that causes her displeasure but can also be extremely affectionate and sweet.

Should have named her Mary (as in contrary) :-D:roll::-D
