Okay following a complete waste of time and energy with new saucepans brought the "this morning range" which proved to be NOT none stick in fact the non stick came off I am looking for a set of aucepans will purchase individually if needed I have gas ring and do not put them in the oven at all - good handles a must, and hopeful not too heavy. But open to all thoughts and variety....suggestions please

Kazz - we are pleased with the lidded skillet and fry pan we bought from this firm http://www.procook.co.uk/?gclid=CJyOmb36xrMCFanItAod4DEA-g

Their customer service is excellent too - one pan's handle was broken on delivery and we sent them a photo and it was replaced straight away.

Seems they have a sale on atm too!

I've had my French stainless steel (not non stick ones) for nearly twenty years, they're just ordinary pans, mid priced which I think I got from Cargo. Virtually indestructible.

Recently needed to add another small pan and deep frying pan and couldn't find an exact match so got these and love them; look good and very robust too with an easy-grip handle http://www.houseoffraser.co.uk/Jamie+Oliver+Stainless+Steel+Saucepan+with+lid%2C+ 16cm/169998237,default,pd.html

can't really beat le creuset. We've got an induction hob so use their tri-ply range, not cheap but good

I find Le Creuset just too heavy, even empty!

their cast iron ones are yes! But the tri-ply that we have are stainless so they're not heavy.

Thanks for that - I'd no idea they made an alternative to the cast iron!

I've actually had a set of stainless steel saucepans I bought from M&S for over 15 years, they still look good and are going strong.

Okay took the advice on board and brought stainless steel had some vouchers from Debenhams and brought these

in their sale, lovely and lighter than I thought. I did like the look of the Le Creuset pans however these were perfect for me. Should have gone with my gut of stainless steel in the first place.

They've got that good, grippy handle - ace choice. I always hankered after the traditional Le Creuset but my poor old weak wrists were never up to it.
