shes stopped gnawing as much at the moment including giving my hand a rest as she was chewing on that which is unusual. still got smelly breath though.

You could try something like this for her Pamela - you just have to rub it around the mouth and you don't have to use a brush which makes it a bit easier ...

it's amazing where they get to, cute picture.
re teeth, we give the dogs a seaweed extract preperation in their food every day, it's called plaqueoff. Quite expensive for a tub but it lasts for ages. You can get it for cats and humans for that matter, as long as you don't have a thyroid problem.

Monty has that too, but I've not given it to either of the cats.

I've added Plaque Off to Cassie's food every day since she had her dental two years ago. It has certainly kept the plaque under control and her breath is much sweeter now. It is fairly expensive, yes, but is much cheaper in the long run than having to pay the vet for a complete dental check.:)

Out of interest Mags, how much do you give Cassie? Monty the dog gets one of those tiny spoonsful and although it is expensive they do say that one pot lasts a year and, as you say, it is less expensive than vet treatment and far less stressful for the cat or dog.

Angie, Cassie has half of the scoop that comes with the Plaque Off, a day. I use the one that is specifically for cats and sprinkle it over her wet food.
