hope you rewarded youself with a wee cuppa tea and cake!
I think that's a very good choice Moli, it sounds perfect .... double flowers, scented and colourful autumn foliage. Eileen would have given that top marks! ;)
Dandy looks happy keeping guard beneath it too.:D
Its a robust variety too, tolerates most things, which is important up here...;)Once the leaves and flowers are out, it will look much better...did not want to get one that was already blooming, this way we can watch it developing...:)
How brilliant and I should think it will be still in flower for Eileens birthday 15th May......Fantastic choice Pat.

I've Googled Prunus Amanogawa in Images - it truly is a lovely tree and the autumn colour looks spectacular too. Good choice Moli!
The tree will be wonderful in flower. We've had one in our garden for many, many years. It's still going strong and looks absolutely gorgeous every year when the blossom comes. Eileen would love it!

It sounds like it will be a lovely tree and in such a pretty spot :) And with Dandy to guard it, no squirrel would dare come near
