We Recently Left Our Two 5 Month Kittens At A Cattery For 3 Days Whilst We Visited Family Over Christmas. Since We Collected Them, One Of Them (beau) Has Had A Really Bad Stomach And Has Had A Lot Of Diarrhea. The Other One Is Ok.
Beau Is Still Ok In Herself And Running Round Playing With Her Toys And Play Fighting With Joy.
Everything She Eats Seems To Go Through Her And Is Just" Squirting" Out Of The Rear End. She Is Eating And Drinking Water Ok, Although,i Think Because She Is Not Really Holding Any Of It, She Seems A Lot More Hungry Than Usual. Yesterday There Was A Very Small Amout Of Blood In Her Diarrhea, But ,having Looked At Her Bottom, I Think Thats Beacause It's A Little Bit Sore.
The Only Other Time She Was A Bit Like This Was When We Changed The Food Too Quickly, But They Had Been Fed With Our Food In The Cattery. The Owner Did Say That They Both Really Didnt Settle Until The Last Day Of The Three And Ime Just Wondering Whether She Hasnt't Been Eating Much ( She Does Seem To Have Lost A Bit Of Weight!) And Because Joy Has Eaten Beau's Portion Of The Food It Has Gone Un-noticed!
I Have Taken Them Both Off Their Normal Feeds And Started Them On The Steamed White Fish And Chicken To See If That Helps. If There Is Now Improvement In Beau By Tommorow Then Ime Sure I Will Have To Go To The Vets!!
Really Feel Awfull Now Leaving Them, But We Had To Travel On A 6-7 Hour Journey For Christmas Eve And Really Was Far To Far For Them To Travel!

I am so very sorry to hear this news JM. There really was nothing else you could have done under the circumstances. I do think that a vet visit is the only option, given the age of poor little Beau. You are doing the right thing in the meantime with boiled white fish or chicken. You can also give rice, but boil it really well for about 40 mins until it's mushed. Fingers crossed you can get her to the vet quickly.

Ah bless 'em, the danger is dehydration in little uns with upset tums. I'd get her to the vet as soon as you can, the poached fish etc may help but perhaps a wee antibiotc and some rehydration fluids wont go a miss. xxx
