As cats are free roaming, the police should have told the person who made the complaint that there was nothing that could be done. What a waste of police time. Surely the neighbour and owner could come to some arrangement whereby they share the cost of some cat proofing or something. But ofcourse that would just be too reasonable a compromise.

What is the cat supposed to have done? I think there is maybe more to this than is being reported - maybe it's more a case of two neighbours who don't get on....
