Nothing new here, Tink, just the regular routine, Leia's fine, I've been getting her thyroid gel in her ear daily most days. She hates it........

Well, a LOT has been going on.
Right now I am looking into some properties for a new home for me and the furkids. Me and K's family would like it all settled by end of month if at all possible.
Also, this may sound strange, but I'm actually in a new relationship. It's exciting and making me happy, although I realize it may not seem appropriate to some.

Tink... It's about time you have a fun relationship which doesn't have a lot of stress intermixed... And if it seems quick to others, then sobeit. None of us can live this part of your life for you, any more than we could live the previous parts.....

Looking forwards to hearing about the new house and how the furkids settle soon.

Morning well afternoon now.
And good on you Tink what is his name? are you thinking of moving very far?

Kazz, I'm moving into the city where everything is...about 20 minutes drive from this house. It'll be loads more convenient for me to access everything. Being in the middle of nowhere is nice when you have company but when you're alone...well for me, I'll be happy to be living in the same city as my friends and support system.

His name is Trinidad. 44, never been married, no kids.
It's funny--he's 6'4 and I'm 5'2 so we look quite the pair walking down the street together...

So glad you've found somewhere. I too have no idea what a triplex unit is ......... I do hope that the move goes smoothly and that your furbabes aren't too stressed and settle quickly.

Trinidad looks good - hope he treats you good too! Good luck to you both.

Glad you are happy. Remind him you may be 5'2" but you have backup...............with the ability to travel ;)

Like the others I am baffled by a triplex? I imagine it is something along the lines of a maisonette sort of thing? ie your own individual entrance to a home in the same building.

Tink
19-10-2011, 04:37 PM
Triplex means a building made of three units connected to each other :D
I'm signing the lease in a few hours!! :D

A couple of biggest stressers there are in the past few months Tink, allow yourself a little time to sit back now.

Tink, are you settled in yet? Pics of new digs???

Tink
26-10-2011, 07:02 PM
Hi, there! Yup, I'm mostly settled. Just a few things here and there to take care of but I have the majority of things unpacked and put away.
The kitties are doing great. Kuan Yin was freaked out the first night but by day two she was playing and settled. Solomon and Hestia were happy with the place from Day One! There's several good windows they enjoy around here..
The ferrets are laid back. As long as they have their things and their Mama they are fine wherever..to them, it's just new scents and sights to explore.
I'm gonna vacuum a bit and then upload some pics soon..
I'm really loving this place. Saturday was exhausting and that night me and Trin had to go back to the house and drop off the uhaul down the street and it gave me a chance to do a final walk through and say goodbye to the house. Some tears were shed. Trin is so very supportive and respectful of K's memory and our love. He held me and talked me through it. Sad but necessary. It was like the final closure I needed. I already feel at peace here.

Tink

Wow that looks really really nice, like as been said "a lot easier to manage" and being closer to the centre has to be good.

Tink
02-11-2011, 07:18 PM
Thanks, guys!
Yes, this place is loads easier for me to manage and keep. I just love it and feel relieved. That house had lots of memories but also was difficult to keep up in its state.
Eileen, we weren't by the woods..would you believe we were in a movie theater parking lot? I told Trin I wanted to take some pix of the leaves before we went inside to buy tickets and just as I pulled out my camera this deer just walked right up to our car and stood there for me. I took those from the passenger seat!!
And, yes, I am soooo much closer to everything now. I don't feel nearly as anxious about driving. I hardly ever have to take a highway now, I can get to almost anything I need just by side streets that are simple. And even if I couldn't drive I am a walk away from the bus stop just down the road. Having a 24 hour grocery store and food nearby and the bank...ahh, heaven. The country is nice in its own ways but I love the convenience of being in the city. Plus, there's still enough greenery around for it to not be all cement and asphalt. Best of both worlds!
