Running off with red pens

Dylan's got an obsession with red pens :? If there's a red pen about Dylan will race off with it and we don't know why he runs off with them :?

It's literally just red pens he'll run off with, which is strange considering scientists reckons cats can't see red :?

Any ideas why Dylan likes running off with red pens?

Cats can't see red, I know he's happy playing with them but I'm trying to work out why it's literally just red pens he does it with. Any other colour he ignores.
