These pics haven't been edited; need to be cropped and the brightness adjusted, I can't get the Edit function in iPhoto to work (or even find it!!) in the new computer. Sorry the quality is poor.

So very glad you and Leia are settling in and beginning to feel at home. Are you able to take photos of the outside of the apartment block?

Hey Eileen that looks lovely are you pleased with the move and the home you have now? ie are you getting used to it.
Are you still emptying the house or have you finished that now? and will you have extra possssessions you will put into store or have you decided what you have taken is what you want/have room for.

So glad to hear you're now feeling better settled, and that Leia and the pics make such a difference - the place is more yours now of course. :)

Love the photo's too. :)

The house is empty; it was sold effective 7/1; all I was bringing is here; all else was either donated to charity, given to friends or junked. Yes, am getting used to it; especially after I found the library on the third floor. :D

Angie, yes, I could take a pic of the building but my camera doesn't have the capability of adjusting for a wide shot (I think?). Somewhere on line is a pic of it, will hunt it up for you.

Did you choose the carpet especially to match Leia's colouring?

It looks like a home now!

Carpet came with the apartment, and she does go quite well with it! :D Everything is done but handing the shelves to display my teacup collection; Chris will do that this coming Friday.

Thanks for the photo Eileen .... looks neat! I keep thinking that you won't have to worry about the furnace this coming winter ....

Or shoveling snow, or power outages in the Summer storms and Winter ice events, ......... but no more home grown tomatoes snatched just before the tree rats got them, nor the first crocus and snowdrops, nor putting out Leia's fur for the birds: it's a trade-off, some things I'll never miss and some I will.

Those are tree tops; they're going to be stunning in Autumn when the leaves change. I can look down at the back garden; my unit's in the rear, so I don't have a street view; much nicer! :D

Eileen that is a superb way to live, in one way its a shame thought they did not put in balcony's although that would obviously not be safe with Leia..........taking a leap into the unknown,

I look forward to the Autumn colours Eileen - your big window is perfect! Lovely photo of Leia looking out.

Kazz, there are some units with balconies, but they are hard to get; I had sort of hoped for one, but was happy to settle for one with a double window, garden view and just down the hall from the greenhouse. I probably would have worried myself sick about Leia taking a leap at a passing bird had I gotten one; probably just as well. .......

Yes I agree a doubled edged sword for pet owner.
