If you had no choice, which of these two cats would you pick from the shelter and why

Here are pictures of our two cats. They are both female and have the same medical treatment, spayed and vaccinations annually given and very healthy. The dark one is about 4 years old and the light one is about 8. The dark one weighs about 11 pounds and the light one about 9 pounds. They love each other quite a lot (even though they try to hide it) and we love them both quite a lot also. We treat them the SAME and it will stay that way, I'm just curious and kind of bored! Thanks for your input!

Absolutely no question about it, would be the cream tabby as she is soooo like our Tim! Theyre both lovely girls!

I'd go for the lighter one, I love the colour. No other reason.

Having worked in rescue for many years, I've noticed that 9 times out of 10, people will choose/prefer an animal that reminds them of one they have formed a bond with in the past.

It could prove kind of annoying when you know they are ALL lovely and ALL need good homes!

You'd hope so. People are funny though. I've heard all sorts -

too big, too small, don't like the shape of the face/ears, wrong colour, tail too short, looks too much like my old pet, doesn't resemble my old pet etc.
