So, out of the icestorm of the century AKA snowmagedon a young couple bring to us tonight, a tiny black kitten. Soaking wet and freezing cold with a temp of 93 degrees Farenheit on arrival!

So I had her under my shirt all evening at work and now, well, I can't just send her to Animal Control, as a black cat its a death sentence.

She's really sweet, but I suspect she's feral. She isn't afraid of me, but she is terrified of everything else. I have her set up in Moxie's crate in the living room. She just needs time and TLC I think. The boys don't seem to really care that she's here.

Her name is Jette (short for Ninjette, as she's a baby ninja all over again)

Isn't she adorable!

I really CAN'T keep her forever, so if you know of anyone in the states looking for a kitten, have them contact me!

She's in my lap now. I'm hoping she will relax and go to sleep. The eyes are starting to drift.

Poor little sweetheart - she'd be dead if it weren't for that couple and for you. Bless you. Do hope you can find a rehome for her.

What a gorgeous wee cutie! Really quite sorry am no where near the right area (and council flats have a 1 pet max without talking to them, and the size of this flat...)

Good luck finding her a loving home which she will take to quickly.

Meantime *sends lots of cuddles*

Oh poor wee baby! She looks young enough to be socialized; I do hope you can find her a home, as you said, black cats and shelters..... |:( You're really having horrid weather there, what a blessing she was found.

Thanks guys! Her tests all came back clean. She's very docile and easy to handle, but also very scared. It will be interesting to see her personality blossom as she gets over her fear. For now I just cuddle her in my lap .

Ninja has decided he's not interested in a little sister. Sully is still ambivalent. Moxie just gives me a look like, "not another one! This place in infested with cats!"

Good to hear the test results! :D

Good news about the tests. I wonder if she is a feral if, as you say, she is docile. Scared, poor love, is quite understandable.

She's coming on bit by bit every day. Ninja is now intrigued by her presence, and they've napped together. I think he wants to groom her as a minion. Her stools are firming up and she's gaining weight every day.

What a lucky little lady she is, and so so cute! Poor thing, i adore black/black and white cats, can never understand why all the black and white animals are always the last to find homes or worse:( They are my faves, but i wouldnt ever say no to an animal just because of the colour of its fur:roll:

Little Minion is coming along well. She came down with an upper respiratory infection but it was short lived and so far my other two have shown no symptoms. She's a feisty little thing, getting bolder every day. Ninja is her best buddy, they are always together.
She still thinks Moxie is going to eat her even though she's been a good dog and hasn't even looked at the kitten. Moxie thinks, maybe if she ignores the kitten it will go away.
Its great watching her blossom into a wonderful little cat. Soon she will be ready for her new home.
8weeks old now, 2 pounds. sleek shiny black coat. Bright eyes and very purry.

Well done Kobster. That's one lucky little girl - glad she has grown and overcome her health problems. I do think we need some more photos before she moves to her forever home.

Just an update to let everyone know that Minion has found a great forever home! She was adopted by a retired couple with no kids or other pets. She will be the spoiled queen of the house. The new owners are the parents of one of the vets I work with so I will get regular updates and get to see her occassionally. Her new name is Suki. I won't lie, I shed a few tears when I dropped her off. She was a precious little girl and I will miss her. But I'm glad she has a wonderful new home.
