I meant to ask you Tink - is Solomon your first male cat?

Ah, well.. in a sense.
We had mostly males when I was growing up and living at home with parents.
My first cat as an adult when I was 18 (just a week after moving into my very first apartment) was a male and sadly I lost him in a battle with my ex when we split up several years later. He was my only cat as an "adult" before Kuan Yin who didn't come along till I was 27.
So he's not exactly my first but in a way he feels like it.

We all love both genders of course, but males are different in all sorts of subtle ways!!! I know we've discussed it before on Catsey, but it may be worthwhile doing it again with new members and new cats of both genders!
What do you think?

I'd certainly be interested to see the different thoughts - being very new to cat owning, and only having a girl... Mind, I do occasionally get to see boyhood with Cloud's brother...
Yes, yes..would like to see if Solomon is the way he is because he's male or because the bit of Siamese..hard for me to tell

That boy just makes me smile. He doesn't even need to try - he just is!
On the male/female divide although my two are girls and I wouldn't swop them for the world. If I had a choice I would have a male. All my males in the past have been big sops, cuddly, lazy, lovely boys. My girls have always been a bit more feisty.

Tink, what about Tigger? .......
Tink, what about Tigger? .......
I was counting him as a childhood kitty since he came in to my life when I was 11 years old and only took care of him for my Mom the last two years of his life. I guess I didn't feel he was completely my cat if that makes sense?
